FOLIO
Privacy Policy
Last updated August 11, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information FOLIO (“we,” “us”) collects when you use folio.market and related services, and how we use it. It is written for our current pre-launch product (waitlist, accounts, and browsing). It is not legal advice and may be updated as the product changes.
Who this covers
This policy applies to visitors of folio.market, people who join the waitlist, and people who create an account (for example with Google sign-in). It does not cover third-party sites we link to, such as X (Twitter), Google, wallet providers, or blockchain explorers.
Information we collect
Depending on how you use FOLIO, we may collect:
- Waitlist email address, and the time you joined.
- Account information from Google sign-in (such as name, email, and a Google subject identifier) when you choose to sign in.
- Profile details you choose to add (such as a display name or handle).
- Wallet addresses you choose to link to a profile.
- Technical data such as IP address, browser type, device information, and basic request logs needed to operate and secure the site.
- Public on-chain data you interact with through the product (for example fund or wallet activity visible on the network).
How we use information
We use this information to:
- Operate the waitlist and notify you about launch or early access.
- Create and maintain your account and session.
- Provide product features (profiles, follows, watchlists, comments, and similar social features when enabled).
- Secure the service, prevent abuse, and debug outages.
- Comply with law and enforce our Terms.
Legal bases (where applicable)
If you are in a region that requires a legal basis for processing, we rely on: performance of a contract (providing the service you request), legitimate interests (security, product improvement, waitlist operations), and consent where we ask for it (for example certain marketing emails).
Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with service providers who help us run the product (for example hosting, database, and authentication infrastructure), when required by law, or in connection with a business transfer. Blockchain transactions you submit are public by design.
Retention
Waitlist emails are kept until launch communications are complete or you ask to be removed. Account data is kept while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward if needed for security, disputes, or legal obligations. Server logs are retained for a limited operational window.
Your choices
You can stop using the site at any time. To request deletion or correction of account or waitlist data, contact us using the details below. Some records may be retained where we are legally required to keep them. You may also disconnect Google access through your Google account settings.
Children
FOLIO is not directed to children under 16 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
International transfers
We may process information in the United States and other countries where our providers operate. Those locations may have different data-protection laws than your home country.
Changes
We may update this policy as FOLIO evolves. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
